They’re actually inspired by billiard balls, which explains their color scheme. Whatever you see on the pool table, that’s exactly what Alain Berteau wanted to convey. Shiny little balls. Except you don’t tap these with a long stick. They’re USBs, preferably 8GB, and small enough to get lost inside your pocket.
Product designers often rehash ideas for the benefit of mankind (and their egos). The same billiard ball aesthete applies to a couple of salt and pepper dispensers Alain is going to showcase in an upcoming event.
Alain designed both the dispensers and the curvaceous USB sticks on behalf of Timawa, a company that wants to marry tongue in cheek design with functionality. Why, don’t they all.
Since they’re concepts, no word yet on pricing. But have fun looking at them. Here, go ahead and soak it in.
