After a longer than planned delay Asus has finally announced the launch of their new dual screen notebook in the form of the ASUS Taichi 31, which has been created with a screen on both sides of the notebooks lid.
The ASUS Taichi 31 comes supplied running Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 Pro operating system, but other operating systems are available to choose from if preferred.
The ASUS Taichi 31 is powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core i7 -3517U processor, and a simply single finger switch allows you to transform the notebook from laptop to tablet when required.
Other features of the ASUS Taichi 31 dual screen tablet/notebook hybrid include two 13.3″ 16:9 Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution screens, supported by 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM, with storage supplied by the choice of either a 128Gb or 256Gb solid state disk (SSD). Interfaces on the ASUS Taichi 31 include: 1 x COMBO audio jack 2 x USB 3.0 port(s), 1 x micro HDMI, 1 x Mini VGA Port, and SD card reader.
