The last thing we heard about the new Asus Smartwatch was that the device would be launching in September, we are expecting it to be made official at IFA 2014 in September.
Now according to Asus CEO, Jonney Shih, the Asus Smartwatch will be a ‘Hero Product’, the device is said to come with a range of ‘key features’, he also said that the design and form factor of the device is very important, although he did not release any specifics on the design of the device.
Hi did reveal that voice commands will be an important feature on the device, and you will apparently also be able to use hand gestures to perform function with your Asus Smartwatch.
We heard previously that Asus are looking to make their new smartwatch one of the thinnest available in the market, this would tie in with the recent comments from Jonney Shih about the design.
Previous rumors have suggested that this new Asus wearable gadget will be another Android Wear device, although as yet this has not been confirmed by Asus.
The company is also looking to price the new gadget a s competitively as possible, and there have been rumors that it may retail for between $100 and $150.
As soon as we get some more information on this new smartwatch from Asus, including some actual pictures of the device, and a full list of specifications, we will let you guys know.
