We always feel sorry for the poor products which, even in this day and age of product names like the Air, Hero or Thunderbolt just never escape the shadow of a number or a codename. Take ASUS’s U31SD, U31E, and U36SD, as lovely a trio of generic notebooks as you’ve ever seen. Sure, the U31SD has got a Core i5 2410M or a Core i3 2310M to choose from, and even a 1GB GeForce GT 520M card upgrade option, but will it ever be truly memorable in any way?
They’re all pretty similar at the end of the day and since only the U31SD is currently available on ASUS’s website that pretty much takes care of the decision for you. We’re sure waiting has its perks as well, like… if you wait a while you could get quite a bit of interest on that money you didn’t spend? Okay, no, waiting is pretty much for the birds.
