Asus Eee PC 1201A Specifications
The Asus 1201A features similar specifications to the 1201N, including the same 12.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768. However, it comes with 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. This model is designed to be a slightly more affordable option while still offering robust performance for everyday tasks.
Both models are equipped with Windows 7 Home Premium, which provides a user-friendly interface and a range of features that enhance productivity and entertainment. The inclusion of 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth ensures that users can stay connected, whether they are at home, in the office, or on the go.
Additional Features and Connectivity
The connectivity options on both the Asus Eee PC 1201N and 1201A are comprehensive, making these netbooks versatile for various uses. The HDMI port allows users to connect their netbook to an external display, such as a TV or monitor, for a larger viewing experience. This is particularly useful for presentations, watching movies, or even gaming.
The inclusion of three USB 2.0 ports provides ample connectivity for peripherals such as external hard drives, mice, and keyboards. The SD card slot is a convenient feature for photographers and anyone who needs to transfer data from their camera or other devices quickly.
The built-in 0.3MP web camera is adequate for video calls and online meetings, making these netbooks suitable for both personal and professional use. The multi-touch touchpad enhances the user experience by allowing intuitive gestures for scrolling, zooming, and navigating through applications.
The 6-cell battery in the Asus Eee PC 1201N promises up to 8 hours of usage, which is impressive for a netbook of its time. This extended battery life ensures that users can work or play for longer periods without needing to recharge frequently.
There is no word on pricing or availability as yet, but it is likely that Asus will start selling both models shortly after the release of Windows 7. Given the competitive specifications and features, these netbooks are expected to be popular choices among consumers looking for portable and affordable computing solutions.
