Apple announced that they were releasing OS X Yosemite and their press event yesterday, and the latest version of Apple’s desktop OS is now available to download from the Mac App Store.
The OS X Yosemite update is available from free, and it is around 5.16GB in size, it brings a wide range of new features to the iMac, MacBook and MacBook Air.
One of the major new features in OS X Yosemite is called Continuity, this will allow you to perform a number of tasks on your Mac, iPhone or iPad and easily switch between devices.
For example, if you are working on your Mac, and you get an incoming call or text on your iPhone, this will be displayed you Mac, and you will be able to answer the call or reply to the text without having to pick up your iPhone.
Another new feature is Handoff, you can be looking at a webpage or editing a document, email or photo on your iPad, and can easily switch to the same document on your Mac.
