We have seen a video of drop tests of the new iPhone X and also some torture tests of the handset and now we have another video. The latest video is a waterproof test for the handset. Apple says that the handset comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust protection.
The official word on water protection for Apple’s iPhone X is that it can be placed in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. In the video below we get to see the new iPhone in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, it is then placed in deeper water.
As we can see from the video the handset survived at a depth of 20 feet for up to five minutes, this suggests that the handset may actually be more waterproof than the iP67 rating it has been given.
From the various test videos we have seen today, it would appear that the new iPhone is pretty durable and on par with the other flagship smartphones on the market today.
