Apple released their iOS 10 software update yesterday and when the update was released it caused some devices to become bricked.
This happened when people were updating their iPhone or iPad via iTunes, the problem only lasted for an hour and Apple managed to fix the issue, they have now released a statement which you can see below.
We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability. The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers. Anyone who was affected should connect to iTunes to complete the update or contact AppleCare for help.
It is not clear as yet on how many people had problems with their device being bricked during the update, the issue has now been resolved.
