The Apple Watch will launch some time in early 2015, Apple has yet to give an exact date, although we recently heard that this new smartwatch would go into production in January.
Now according to a recent report, supply of the Apple Watch may be limited at launch, the news apparently comes from Apple’s supply chain.
Supply of the Apple iWatch will apparently be limited because of the sapphire glass on the device, this would mean that the Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Edition supply would be limited, because these models come with sapphire glass.
The only model that does not come with sapphire glass is the Apple Watch Sport, so this version could possibly be available in larger quantities at launch.
As yet we do not know exactly when the new Apple Watch will launch, if production is due to start in January, then we would expect the device to go on sale in late February or early March.
Demand for the new Apple Watch is expected to be high, and we suspect that this could add to wait times for the device, as well as the rumored limited supply at launch.
