With Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2013) opening its doors later today, Apple has re-launched its Apple TV “Apple Events” channel in preparation to stream a live video of the WWDC 2013 keynote.
Apple has yet to confirm that they will also be streaming the WWDC 2013 keynote via the Internet to view on web browsers, but in October Apple did for the launch of their iPad mini.

What to Expect from WWDC 2013
The WWDC 2013 is expected to be a significant event for developers and Apple enthusiasts alike. The keynote will likely feature major announcements regarding the future of iOS and OS X. Historically, WWDC has been the platform where Apple unveils its latest software updates, new features, and sometimes even new hardware. This year, rumors suggest that we might see previews of iOS 7 and OS X 10.9.
“Get an in-depth look at what’s next in iOS and OS X, and learn how to take your apps to the next level. With over 100 sessions, extensive hands–on labs, and engaging events, you’ll connect with Apple engineers and fellow developers for an incredible week of inspiration.”
WWDC 2013 iOS App
Apple has also released a handy WWDC 2013 iOS app that allows you to easily browse times, locations, and descriptions for sessions, labs, and special events, if you are attending the event, and can be downloaded here. This app is particularly useful for attendees to keep track of the numerous sessions and labs that will be held throughout the week. The app also provides maps and important notifications, ensuring that attendees do not miss out on any critical updates or changes to the schedule.

Why WWDC Matters
WWDC is not just about the keynote; it’s a week-long event filled with sessions and labs where developers can learn directly from Apple engineers. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of app development to advanced techniques for optimizing performance and user experience. The hands-on labs provide a unique opportunity for developers to get one-on-one guidance and feedback on their projects.
Moreover, WWDC serves as a networking hub where developers from around the world can connect, share ideas, and collaborate. The event fosters a sense of community and inspiration, which is invaluable for both new and experienced developers.
