Apple has released a software update for their iPhone, iOS 12.1.2, we were not expecting this update to land this month as only a few betas had been released.
The iOS 12.1.2 software update is a small update at around 68MB in size on the iPhone and it basically comes with some bug fixes and performance improvements.
The update includes a bug fix for the new eSIM feature on Apple’s latest iPhones, this includes the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, you can see a list of what is included in the update below.
iOS 12.1.2 includes bug fixes for your iPhone. This update:
– Fixes bugs with eSIM activation for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max
– Addresses an issue that could affect cellular connectivity in Turkey for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max
The update also is thought to include a fix for the patent lawsuit between Apple and Qualcomm in China, Apple has apparently removed the features which Qualcomm has said infringe their patents, although we suspect we will have to wait an see what the Chinese courts say before this is confirmed.
The iOS 12.1.2 software update has only been released for Apple’s iPhones, the update has not been released for the iPad or the iPod Touch.
