Combining a Raspberry Pi and the transparent case from an old Apple PowerMac G4 Reddit user u/mjh2901 has created a very unique mineral oil tank for their Raspberry Pi and aptly named it the Apple Pi.
“I converted a Apple PowerMac G4 (dead) into a Mineral Oil Raspberry Pi case… The Apple Pi Raspberry Pi3 with a 2 line 16 character LCD. Or the worlds most complicated clock. This will be a test platform for learning python. I am running this on a fixed IP address over wifi to cut down on cables. Everything is in the tank. This project got stupid expensive after buying decorations at the pet store. This is before the mineral oil Note the gunk on the inside of the case. 9 16oz bottles $1.99 each at target plus the Red Card 5% discount. I love my wife she is bargain hunter, its 8 bottles to a gallon and a gallon on amazon starts at $21 plus shipping. I let it sit half full over night to see if anything leaked, better in the shop then in the den. Although wood furniture, wood floor, there wont be any damage just a mess.”
