If you look on the back of the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus you will see small white bands across the top and bottom of the device, these are the handsets antenna’s.
Now it would appear that Apple has come up with a way to hide the antenna’s in their new smartphones.
The current antenna’s on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are strips of plastic, although Apple has now developed a new composite material that is designed to look and feel like anodized metal.
This means that Apple will be able to hide their antenna’s in future versions of the iPhone, as they will look just like metal, although will function like normal antenna’s.
It looks like Apple has more plans for this material than just iPhones, it also intends to use it to coat the touchpad on a mac and for other devices, possibly touchscreens.
