Apple has revealed that more than 11 million people have signed up to their free three month trial of Apple Music.
The service launched at the end of June and Apple is giving people a three month trial for free of their new music streaming.
There are two different versions available, a single plan which costs $9.99 a month and a family plan which costs $14.99 a month.
“We’re thrilled with the numbers so far,” says Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services, adding that of that sum 2 million have opted for the more lucrative family plan at $14.99 a month for up to six people.
Apple’s Eddie Cue also revealed that their app store had a record July with $1.7 billion in transactions for the month.
It will be interesting to see how many of those 11 million trial subscribers Apple is able to turn into paid subscriber when the free three month period ends.
