There are rumors that Apple will announce a number of new devices this year, one of these rumored devices is the Apple iWatch, which is expected to be a communicator watch for Apple’s iOS devices, like the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
According to a recent report by Bloomberg, the Apple iWatch could end up being even more profitable for Apple than their rumored Apple HDTV and the device is expected to be launched before the end of 2013, the Apple HDTV is also rumored to launch this year.
We heard previously that Apple has a team over around 100 designers working on their new Apple iWatch project, and it could come with a number of interesting functions, like the ability to make and receive calls and also, check directions and more, the Apple iWatch team is rumored to be lead by Apple’s James Foster who is currently the senior director of engineering at Apple.
According to Bloomberg, Apple has filed 79 different patents with the word ‘wrist’ in the filing, and one patent which was filed featured a flexible display which was powered by kinetic energy.
Apple’s CEO TIM cook recently told shareholders that they are looking at new categories for devices, and one of these could end up being the Apple iWatch, which might just been one of Apple’s most popular device to date.
Samsung are also rumored to be working in an Android powered watch to communicate with their Galaxy range of devices, and we suspect we could also see this device launched before the end of the year.
