The Apple iWatch is rumored to launch in September along with the iPhone 6, Apple has already hired a former executive from Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer, and now according to a recent report, Swatch are helping Apple with their new iWatch.
According to Venture Beat, Apple are working with Swatch on the new Apple iWatch, and the report also says that Apple are working with other companies in the watch business, and we can expect to see multiple Apple iWatch models launch.
Apple and its partners will offer a family of smartwatches to suit all tastes “from geek to chic,” our source says.
The tech giant is interested in pushing its iOS, iTunes, and Health Kit ecosystems to millions of wrists, our source says; and in this case it’s not particular about sharing the branding glory to do so.
This certainly sounds different that what we have heard previously about the Apple iWatch, we are still expecting Apple to launch their own version of the smartwatch, although if this latest report is correct, than Apple has much bigger plans for smart watches than we previously thought.
We are expecting the Apple iWatch to launch in September at the same time as the iPhone 6, and are looking forward to seeing the device.
