Apple is long rumored to be working on a bigger iPad, possibly featuring a 12.2-inch display, but we hardly have details about what the tablet will offer, or when it will launch. The alleged tablet is reportedly set to enter production in the second quarter.
Recently, an Apple fan magazine Mac Fan published a report revealing the schematics of the upcoming iPad Air Plus, as well as a few details about the launch of the tablet.
The report mentions the iPad Air Plus will feature a 12.2-inch display and measures 305.31 x 220.8 x 7mm. The alleged tablet will be powered by an A9 processor and is expected to launch in between April and June 2015. Furthermore, there will be four speakers on the tablet to offer stereo sound.
For those of you who cant remember, a similar set of information was revealed by a Japanese blog Mac Otakara a few weeks back, and they also confirmed the information revealed by Mac Fans aligns with what they’ve head from their own sources.
The report from Mac Fan also revealed that Apple will reveal the iPad Mini 4 in 2015, which will come with an A8X processor, and will come with a thinner form factor similar to that of the iPad Air 2. They further mentioned that after the launch of iPad Mini 4, Apple will remove the iPad Mini and iPad Mini 3 from its line up and will only sell the iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 4.
There’s no confirmation from Apple, but we’ll update you as soon as we get any other information.
