Apple iOS 7 will be released this Wednesday, the 18th of September. The release will be two days before the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, which is Friday, the 20th of September.
Apple iOS 7 is Apple’s first major re-design of their mobile OS for quite a while. It comes with a complete new look, featuring a new UI, icons, and over 200 new features.
Apple launched their voice-activated virtual assistant, Siri, back in 2011 with the iPhone 4S. The software has been in public beta since it launched back in 2011.
Major Updates in iOS 7
Siri will get a major update with the release of Apple iOS 7, and it will finally be out of public beta. Apple has now removed the beta tag from their website for Siri. This update is expected to bring a more natural voice, faster responses, and deeper integration with iOS features and third-party apps. Users will be able to control more aspects of their device using Siri, such as adjusting settings, playing voicemail, and even searching Twitter.
In addition to Siri, iOS 7 introduces a new Control Center, which provides quick access to commonly used settings and apps. This feature allows users to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to toggle Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Do Not Disturb mode, among other settings. The Control Center also includes a flashlight, calculator, and camera shortcuts, making it easier to access these tools without navigating through multiple screens.
Enhanced User Experience
The new design of iOS 7 is more than just aesthetic; it aims to enhance the overall user experience. The updated Notification Center now includes a “Today” view, which provides a summary of the day’s events, weather, and traffic conditions. This feature helps users stay organized and informed throughout the day.
Another significant addition is the revamped multitasking interface. Users can now see a preview of their open apps and swipe to close them. This makes switching between apps more intuitive and efficient. The new multitasking also learns from user habits, updating apps in the background based on usage patterns to ensure that the most frequently used apps are always up to date.
iOS 7 also brings improvements to the Photos app, introducing a new way to organize and browse photos. The app now groups photos by moments, collections, and years, making it easier to find specific images. Additionally, the new iCloud Photo Sharing feature allows users to share photos and videos with friends and family, who can then add their own photos, videos, and comments.
As yet, we do not have any details on what time iOS 7 will be available on Thursday. As soon as we get some more information on when it will be available, we will let you guys know.
