As well as launching their new iPad tablets and upgraded MacBook Pro laptops this week, Apple has also rolled out a new update to its handy Apple Find My iPhone application bringing it more in line with Apple’s new iOS 7 mobile operating system.
The newly released Apple Find My iPhone app includes a completely re-designed user interface which provides a much cleaner looking navigation as well as a clear map view of where the devices are that are linked to your a Apple account.
Apple created the Find My iPhone app to help users that might have inadvertently misplaced their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, and lets them locate its whereabouts and even wipe and shut down the device remotely if it has been stolen.
The Apple Find My iPhone app usable to locate any iOS device running iOS 6 or above and offers a “Lost Mode” that locks your missing Apple device with a passcode and allows you to display a custom message and contact phone number directly from the Lock Screen offering a reward or details on how to return it. Very handy if you tend to be a little forgetful and lose your iPhone or any other iOS device on a regular basis.
