In a welcome addition to the features within Apple’s iTunes software, Apple has this week rolled out a new feature that allows you to download larger files at a later date.
If you have tried to purchase box sets or bundles of films on iTunes via your iPhone, you will have already seen the prompt that denied you access to purchase the set due to lack of space for the bundle.
Now Apple allows you to purchase the box set but, but decide when and where you would like to download the movies or music. Allowing you to save your precious bandwidth or device storage as required.
“When purchasing any of the above items using iTunes 11 on a Mac or Windows PC, or an iOS device running iOS 6 or later, you’re now presented with Later and Download (or Download All) buttons. Tap Later and the purchased items will be added to your iTunes account and accessible to stream or download in the future via Apple’s iTunes in the Cloud feature.”
The new iTunes option to ‘download later’ is exclusively applicable to TV seasons, Season Passes, movie bundles, music box sets, individual movies and TV episodes.
