Makers, developers and hobbyists that user the Beaglebone Black low-cost, community-supported development platform maybe interested in a range of new luxurious Beaglebone Black aluminium cases that are now available via the Adafruit website.
The new Beaglebone Black aluminium cases are available in both silver and black finishes and come supplied with either crystal lids allowing you to see the hardware side or smoke lids.
To re-cap the Beaglebone Black development board is powered by a AM335x 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor supported by 512MB DDR3 RAM. Together with 4GB 8-bit eMMC on-board flash storage as well as a 3D graphics accelerator, NEON floating-point accelerator and 2x PRU 32-bit micro-controllers.
These cases come in two piece constructions, base and cover, with a black or silver aluminum finish. The aluminum case is materialized in an aircraft grade of AL alloy A606 made by CNC milling. There’s access to all inputs and outputs so you can easily build out your BBB with accessories.
