Samsung launched their Android Oreo beta program for their Samsung Galaxy S8 handsets earlier this month. The program is available for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones and users have to register to test out the software.
The company has now released their first software update as part of their Android 8.0 Oreo beta program. The update apparently fixes a number of bugs that were discovered in the beta of the software. The Android 8.0 Oreo update is available as a beta update for the handset
The software update for the Android Oreo beta program also includes the security patch for Android for the month of October. The update is around 610 MB in size and brings some new styles to the clock on the always on display. There are also some tweaks included for the Launcher.
The update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus for people who have signed up to Samsung’s Android Oreo beta program for the handsets. Samsung has released the beta is the UK, US and South Korea at the moment. The company is also planning to make it available in more countries soon, these will include India, China, Germany, Spain, France and Poland.
