Recently, a test Android 4.4.2 firmware for Samsung’s last year flagship device, the Galaxy S4 was leaked, for the LTE version of the device with a model number GT-I9505.
Now, a new rumor reveals that Samsung has begun testing the latest Android 4.4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 with model number GT-I9500. Although the firmware is buggy and not a good option for regular use, it should at least come as a good news that Samsung has started the testing.
The news comes from SamMobile, these folks have a very decent track record when it comes to Samsung, so we must give them some weight about this rumor. They were the ones who leaked the Android 4.4.2 test firmware for the Galaxy S4 few days back as well.
Samsung has just begun testing KitKat for Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500). It’s not stable enough to be used as a daily driver.
There’s no word about the roll out of the update, but Samsung has began the Android 4.4 KitKat roll out for the Galaxy Note 3, and we’re expecting the Korean OEM to get it over with the latest update for Samsung Galaxy S4 soon as well. Let’s hope its not as buggy and unstable as the Android 4.3 version which came with more problems then improvements.
We’ll update you as soon the update starts rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S4.
