Earlier, it was reported that Google is working on Android 4.4.1 KitKat, which is expected to hit various Nexus devices. It seems it was correct as Google is rolling out the Android 4.4.1 KitKat update for Google Nexus 5, along with Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 LTE version. The update brings a number of improvements and bug fixes to the devices.
The latest update isn’t a very major upgrade for Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 LTE and brings a bunch of improvements and bug fixes. For Google Nexus 5, along with the usual bug fixes and improvements, the latest update brings camera improvements as well. The update is available via OTA as well as a separate download package for Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 LTE. The download packages are available in case you want to flash the latest build, but proceed only if you’re running Android 4.4 KitKat KRT16S.
The update should hit the devices in the coming days, but if you’re impatient, you can manually check for the update from the Settings app. Additionally, we’re hoping it will roll out for other Nexus devices as well as the GPE handsets very soon.
If you received the update, please share with us about your experience with Android 4.4.1 KitKat.
