Amazon is continuing the roll out of its Amazon Prime Now delivery service in the US and has now launched the one hour service in Austin, Texas.
Amazon Prime Now offers one hour delivery on items for $7.99 although if you can wait for two hours for your item the delivery is free.
“A few of the most popular items delivered through Prime Now in Texas since we launched in Dallas are Campbell’s Soup, bottled water and organic iced tea,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations. “We know customers in Austin will love the opportunity to skip a trip to the store and get items delivered right to their door in under an hour.”
Prime Now is launching in select Austin zip codes today and will expand quickly to additional zip codes across the city soon. All Prime members can download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices, and will be notified when the service is available in their local area. In Austin, Prime Now is available from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for $7.99.
