Amazon Kindle Voyage And Fire HDX 8.9 Start Shipping Today In The UK

Amazon has today announced that they have now staring shipping their new Amazon Kindle Voyage and Fire HDX 8.9 Android tablet throughout the UK today.

The latest Kindle Voyage reader from Amazon has been available to pre-order for £169 since its launch last month, and the new Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is also available to purchase for £329 in the UK.

The Amazon Kindle Voyage is fitted with a 6 inch display with Carta e-paper technology together with adaptive front light ,offering 300 ppi and is available with Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options.

Together with 4GB of internal storage and Free Cloud storage for all Amazon content and battery capable of providing around 6 weeks of use says Amazon. Jorrit Van der Meulen, VP Amazon Devices, EU explained in todays press release :

“Kindle Voyage and Fire HDX 8.9 are leading edge devices that our customers are going to love,”-“Kindle Voyage is our best Kindle yet, providing an unmatched reading experience that helps you truly lose yourself in a story.

With Fire HDX, our team has packed an incredible amount of technology into a startlingly light design, combining an incredible display with faster graphics and powerful audio to provide performance that’s up there with the very best. We think both these devices are going to be very popular with our customers this Christmas.”
