Amazon unveiled its new Kindle Matchbook service back at the beginning of September this year with just 10,000 books on offer, starting today it has now made the service live and available to the public to use with 70,000 title available.
The new Amazon service allows you to transform your old Amazon paper or hardback book purchases into a digital copies, which you can then read on your Amazon Kindle device or similar using Amazons iOS or Android Kindle applications.
The new Amazon Matchbook service currently contains over 70,000 qualifying books, and now allows you to buy the Kindle edition at a reduced rate for $2.99, $1.99, $0.99, or for free depending on the title.
All you need to do is visit the Kindle MatchBook website to see if your book purchases are supported and available. Any book you have purchased on Amazon that is listed can be purchased at a discount. Russ Grandinetti, Vice President, Kindle Content explained in todays press release.
“It’s been great to see the positive response to MatchBook from both readers and publishers,” -“MatchBook enrolment has grown from 10,000 to 70,000 titles in just a few weeks and we expect it will keep expanding rapidly in the months ahead.”
