Xiaomi Redmi 1S received its fair share of success in China as well as India, where the handset sold out in mere seconds.
Now, it seems the Chinese company is working on the successor of the handset, the Redmi 2S, which was recently spotted on AnTuTu revealing the specifications of the alleged handset.
The handset spotted on AnTuTu comes with mid-range specifications similar to its predecessor. The handset, as per AnTuTu, features a 4.7-inch display sporting a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Adreno 306 to handle the graphics. This should give the alleged Redmi 2S a decent bump in performance, and this also means we may get 4G LTE connectivity on the handset.
The alleged device also features 1GB of RAM, an 8Mp camera on the back for photos and videos, 2Mp front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage coupled with a microSD card slot which supports up to 64Gb of memory, and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat as its operating system.
The handset is expected to go on sale in several colors, including black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue. There’s no word about the pricing or availability of the handset. We’ll update you as soon as we hear anything about the launch of the device.
