The awesome Alien Isolation games that launched last year and now sold over 2.1 million units according to its publishers Sega who this week announced their annual financial results.
The 2.1 million annual sales for Alien Isolation show just how well the game has done thanks to its developers Creative Assembly and their new direction, check out the gameplay footage below to learn more.
Sega purchased the electronic rights to the Alien franchise from 20th Century Fox back in 2006 and will hopefully use the Alien storyline to create more AAA games for us to enjoy.
The new results also reveal just how badly the previous game, Aliens: Colonial Marines developed by a different team at Gearbox Software, and also based on the Alien movies did when it launched.
“Alien Isolation is set in 2137, 15 years after the events of Alien and 42 years prior to Aliens. The game follows Amanda Ripley, who is investigating the disappearance of her mother. Amanda is transferred to the space station Sevastopol to find the flight recorder of the Nostromo only to discover an Alien has terrorised the station and killed the vast majority of the crew.”
