Acer has this week announced the launch of two new Acer Chromebooks to their range of systems, in the form of the 15.6 inch Acer C910 and 11.6 inch Acer C740 (pictured above) both of which have been predominantly designed for students.
The new systems will offer users the ability to install a choice of Intel Broadwell based Celeron or Core i3 processors that can be supported by up to 4GB of RAM depending on budget and requirements.
The Acer C740 is fitted with an 11.6 inch 1,366 x 768 display and equipped with a 16GB solid state disk (SSD) and a battery that is capable of providing up to 9 hours of battery life at a price starting from $260.
The Acer C910 is priced slightly higher than the C740 at $279 and provides a slightly larger LCD but a lower batter life that is capable of only providing 8 hours of working life on a single charge. Both Acer Chromebooks will be available available to purchase from next month and come with Google’s Chrome OS operating system installed ready to use.
