If the name Edgeworth brings back fond memories, prepare to have your day ruined, because the latest entry in the Ace Attorney series featuring everyone’s favorite ruffly neckerchief-ed prosecutor is skipping an English language release this time around. And while we wish it was some kind of Internet backwater shady forum rumor type scenario, the news is coming straight from Capcom.
This is what Capcom’s Christian Svensson had to say on the matter in a recent Ask Capcom video: “The answer is ‘no.’ Sorry about that.” Hope springs eternal, however, as he quickly turned that absolute right around. “Regarding the question, plans change all the time so I would probably rather use the ‘There are no plans for a Western release at this time for AAI2.'” Maybe we’re reading too much into this, but if that’s not a sly hint that some sort of free publicity generating petition is in order, we don’t know what is.
