The new 9.7 inch iPad Pro will be made official at an Apple press event later this month along with Apple’s new smaller iPhone SE smartphone.
The new iPad Pro is expected to replace Apple’s iPad Air and the device is expected to get many of the features of the 12.9 inch iPad Pro.
The new iPad is expected to have a 9.7 inch display with the same resolution as the 12.9 inch model, which would be 2732 x 2048 pixels, this would be a bump up from the 2028 x 1536 pixels resolution on the iPad Air 2.
The device is also expected to come with Apple’s latest processor, the Apple A9X and it may also feature 4GB of RAM like the existing model. We are expecting a range of storage options on the tablet from 16GB to 128GB.
Apple is also expected to introduce a new 12 megapixel camera on the smaller iPad Pro which would be capable of recording 4k video, this would be an upgrade from the current 12.9 inch iPad. The device will also come with iOS 9.3 which is expected to be released later this month.
Apple are rumored to be holding their press event on the 21st of March, we will have more details on the new iPad Pro and also the iPad SE at the event, both devices are expected to go on sale this month.
