Apple are holding a press event tomorrow where they will unveil the new iPhone 6, we are expecting to see the 4.7 inch version of the handset, we could also see the new 5.5 inch iPhone 6 at tomorrows event.
We had previously heard that the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 will launch later in the year, so it is not clear as yet on whether it will launch at Apple’s event tomorrow, but we do have some more details about the handset.
According to developer Steve Troughton-Smith, the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 will run applications in landscape mode, just like the iPad, this can be seen in the photos below of the contacts app and also the game center app.
Both models of the iPhone 6 will come with some major upgrades over the current model, the iPhone 6 is said to be powered by Apple’s new A8 processor which is a new 64-bit processor and the handset will apparently come with 2GB of RAM.
Other specifications on the iPhone 6 include updated cameras, with an improved FaceTime HD camera upfront, and a new camera on the back, as yet it is not clear whether the new camera will be an 8 megapixel version like the iPhone 5S or whether it will get more megapixel.
The new iPhone 6 will also come with an updated fingerprint sensor which is said to be more accurate and durable than the current one used in the iPhone 5S.
We will have more details on the new iPhone 6 at Apple’s event tomorrow, and hopefully the new 5.5 inch iPhone 6 will be launched at the event.
