If you have access to a 3D printer and would like to capture some time-lapse footage from your GoPro camera or similar action cam, you may be interested in the DIY GoPro time lapser which has been created by Thingiverse user PrintFail.
Checkout the video below to see the results using a GoPro Hero 5 once the 3D printed parts have been combined with the internal workings of the egg-shaped egg timer.
PrintFail explains a little more about the design :
The reduction ratio is 4:1, so in 1h of time lapse, the came will rotate ~ 90 degrees (take this in mind not focusing the object in the start of the time lapse).
Instructions: Pull the top part of the eggtimer apart. Release the bottom screw and mount the internal mechanism in the base section. Secure with the screw.
