Ford might be killing off all its cars, funneling people to trucks, SUVs, and the Mustang, but cars live on. Honda isn’t ready to abandon the car market just yet. The automaker has announced that the 2019 Fit will hit dealerships today. That car is cheap, especially if you have looked at prices on trucks and SUVs lately.
The Fit will start at $16,190 not counting the $890 destination fee. This is the same price the car sold for last year. There are several models to choose from including the Fit LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L. Pile the Honda Sensing safety tech into the LX and you will pay $18,880.
A manual Sport is $18,390 with the CVT sport starting at $19,190. The EX with a manual is $19,050 with the CVT version going for $19,850. EX-L is $21,410 with the EX-L with nav at $22,410. For 2019 the Honda Sensing suite gets auto high beams and platinum pearl white replaces white orchid pearl. Fit gets up to 36 mpg on the highway.
Honda Fit: A Versatile and Affordable Option
The Honda Fit has long been celebrated for its versatility and affordability, making it a popular choice among budget-conscious consumers and city dwellers alike. The 2019 model continues this tradition, offering a range of features that make it a compelling option in the subcompact car market.
One of the standout features of the Honda Fit is its impressive fuel efficiency. With up to 36 mpg on the highway, the Fit is an economical choice for those looking to save on fuel costs. This makes it an excellent option for daily commuting as well as longer road trips.
The Fit’s interior is also noteworthy. Despite its small exterior, the car offers a surprisingly spacious and flexible interior. The Magic Seat feature allows for multiple seating configurations, providing ample cargo space when needed. Whether you’re hauling groceries, sports equipment, or even small furniture, the Fit can accommodate a variety of needs.
Advanced Safety and Technology Features
Safety is a top priority for Honda, and the 2019 Fit is no exception. The Honda Sensing suite, available on higher trims, includes a range of advanced safety features designed to keep you and your passengers safe. These features include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Keeping Assist System. The addition of auto high beams for 2019 further enhances visibility during nighttime driving.
In terms of technology, the Fit offers a range of features to keep you connected and entertained on the road. The available 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your smartphone with the car’s infotainment system. Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and streaming audio are also standard, making it easy to stay connected without taking your hands off the wheel.
The Fit’s exterior design is both stylish and functional. The 2019 model introduces a new Platinum Pearl White color option, replacing the previous White Orchid Pearl. This new color adds a touch of elegance to the car’s already sleek design. The Sport trim, in particular, features unique styling elements such as a front spoiler, rear diffuser, and 16-inch black alloy wheels, giving it a more aggressive and sporty look.
The 2019 Honda Fit offers a compelling combination of affordability, versatility, and advanced features. Whether you’re looking for a reliable daily driver, a fuel-efficient commuter car, or a versatile vehicle for weekend adventures, the Fit has something to offer. With its range of trims and options, there’s a Fit to suit a variety of needs and preferences.
