OnePlus has announced the 16GB Silk white version of the OnePlus One in India which costs Rs 18,999, and will be exclusively available on Amazon.in starting February 24th.
OnePlus One is already available in India, but it was the 64GB version of the handset, which costs a little higher.
The handset boasts the similar set of specifications as the 64GB model, except for lower storage space on the handset. There’s a 5.5-inch 1080p display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
There’s a 13MP camera for photos and videos, a 5MP front-facing camera, a massive 3,100 mAh battery and ships runs Cyanogenmod. The company is facing issues with Cyanogenmod in India as the company has a deal with the local manufacturer Micromax. But, OnePlus said the company is working on its own Android 5.0 Lollipop for the handset which will roll out for users in India.
Customers interested in the handset can visit the company’s Facebook page or the OnePlus One forums to enter a contest for an invite. It was also reported earlier that OnePlus will sell the handset without an invite every Tuesday, and February 24th happens to be Tuesday.
