HyperJuice

The development team responsible for creating the HyperJuice 100w charger now available via Kickstarter explain a little more about its inspiration and design.

“HYPER has spent almost a year perfecting the circuit design and firmware to fully utilize the Navitas GaNFast NV6117 Power IC to bring the HyperJuice charger to fruition. We want to make the smallest 100W charger ever so the circuit board and components are laid out in the most compact and space-efficient manner.

Only the industry’s most efficient components that can deliver the best performance in the smallest of space are used. The dense circuit board is then surrounded by high-density thin heat sinks to aid in heat dissipation. The entire package is then wrapped in a minimalist fire-resistant polycarbonate enclosure to complete the efficient design.

HyperJuice utilises the industry-leading Navitas GaNFast NV6117 Power IC to miniaturise components normally found in traditional chargers. The new Gallium Nitride semiconductor material allows for power devices that can operate at higher voltages and switching frequency which results in smaller and more efficient chargers.“
