SNAP has created the very first foldable longboard making it perfect as a light and portable commuter longboard. The deck measures 38″ (96.5cm) in length and folds up 19” x 9.5” x 6”, making it easy to carry and stow away.
The SNAP folding longboard is constructed of premium 8-ply Canadian maple and fastened with powerful specialised hinges.Watch the video after the jump to see the mechanism and longboard in action.
The SNAP Longboard is now available to purchase for $140 for the deck only or $190 with trucks included.
“The powerful hinges stay locked in place via specialized tightening and can only fold in one direction – they do not sway while the board is being carried or ridden. When weight is applied to the deck, its full-length configuration is maintained, even while going over bumpy terrain. SNAP Longboard is beautifully constructed and designed to keep its center of gravity and wheels close to the ground for fast and smooth cruising. As a commuter longboard, it’s fun, portable, light, and safe to ride.”
“The handle is built into the design. Put your forearm through either opening in the middle when the longboard is folded and grasp the board with your hand to utilize the simple handle.”
