Samsung has announced another milestone in sales of its Galaxy smartphones, the company has now announced that they have sold over 100 million Galaxy S smartphones since the original Galaxy S was introduced.
Samsung sold a total of 25 million of their original Galaxy S smartphone, and 40 ,million of the Galaxy S II, and their latest model, the Galaxy S III has sold a total of 41 million handsets.
Samsung launched their original Galaxy S smartphone back in 2010, so it took the company just over two years to reach the 100 million handsets sold mark, this compares to just under four years for Apple with the iPhone as they reached this milestone on March of 2011 and the original iPhone was launched in 2007.
Samsung are expected to launch their fourth generation Galaxy S smartphone this year, the Samsung Galaxy S4, and we are expecting the device to launch some time around May of 2013.
