Pioneer has announced the launch of a new range of wireless speakers to its range in the form of the SMA Series, which includes three different wireless speaker systems, the XW-SMA1, XW-SMA3 and XW-SMA4.
Starting with the XW-SMA1 this speaker features dual 3-inch speakers and a soft dome tweeter, and is equipped with a tuned bass reflex port, designed to enhance the speakers bass response.
The slightly more expensive XW-SMA3 has identical audio components as the XW-SMA1-K, but is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery providing up to 4-6 hours of use depending on the volume, and a more rugged casing to protect the speakers while being moved about.
Finally the XW-SMA4 features 5 speakers, including dual 3-inch speakers, a dedicated 4-inch subwoofer and dual soft dome tweeters. Russ Johnston, executive vice president for the Home Electronics Division of Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc explained in the press release.

All three Pioneer SMA speakers will be arriving in stores during August for $299 XW-SMA1, $399 XW-SMA3 and $399 XW-SMA4.
