Apple is expected to announce their sixth generation iPhone, the iPhone 5, at a special event on the 12th of September. We have already seen a number of photos of leaked parts of the new iPhone 5, plus a couple of videos.
Now we have another video which is reported to be of the new iPhone 5, which you can see below. The device is apparently a prototype and is compared to the iPhone 4S.

Design and Features
The video showcases what appears to be a significant redesign from the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 in the video features a larger display, which aligns with rumors suggesting a move from the 3.5-inch screen of the iPhone 4S to a 4-inch screen. This change would mark Apple’s first increase in screen size since the original iPhone was released in 2007. The larger display is expected to offer a better viewing experience for videos, games, and web browsing.
Another notable feature in the video is the new dock connector. The iPhone 5 is rumored to have a smaller, 8-pin dock connector, replacing the 30-pin connector used in previous models. This change would make the device more compact and could potentially improve data transfer speeds. However, it also means that existing accessories would require an adapter to be compatible with the new iPhone.
Performance and Expectations
In terms of performance, the iPhone 5 is expected to come with a faster processor, possibly the A6 chip, which would offer improved speed and efficiency over the A5 chip found in the iPhone 4S. This upgrade would enhance the overall performance of the device, making it more capable of handling demanding applications and multitasking.
The video also hints at other potential improvements, such as a better camera and enhanced battery life. The iPhone 4S already boasts an 8-megapixel camera, so any improvements in this area would likely focus on better low-light performance, faster shutter speeds, and enhanced image stabilization. Improved battery life would be a welcome change for users who rely heavily on their devices throughout the day.
It will be interesting to see if this is actually the iPhone 5 when Apple officially announces it. From the looks of the video, it could possibly be the real thing, as it features the new rumored dock connector and also a larger display than the iPhone 4S.
