Over the weekend Apple has rolled out new updates for its Apple Tv set-top box and its iOS remote application adding tweals and features and support for Apple new iTunes 11 software which rolled out late last week.
Apple’s iOS Remote application has been specifically designed to integrate and enable users to control iTunes, enabling you to a song, pick a playlist, or browse your entire library as well as control your Apple TV.
The new Apple TV release is 10A831, and can updated directly on the unit by going to the Settings menu. Apple explains on their iOS Remote app page a little more about the iOS Remote app.
“Adds support for Up Next with iTunes 11 or iTunes Match. See upcoming songs when playing music on your Apple TV. Add new songs and edit what’s queued with your Remote or with the Remote app.
Remote is simpler and easier with new ways to browse your library and see and edit upcoming songs with Up Next. A redesigned experience for the iPad shows all the songs in an album with the Expanded view and a more powerful search delivers results as you type.”
You can download the latest iOS Remote app directly from the Apple iTunes Store for free.
