At the moment we only have one mobile provider that is offering 4G LTE in the UK, EE which is a joint venture between Orange and T-Mobile, although that will change this year as other mobile providers are going to be rolling out 4G services.
Ofcom has announced that it has opened the bidding for the mobile spectrum here in the UK, and there are a total of seven companies bidding for 28 lots of two LTE bands.
The next 4G LTE services from other mobile providers are expected to launch around the Spring or Summer of 2013, and the bidders for the bands include, EE, Three, MLL Telecom, O2, BT, Vodafone and Niche Spectrum Ventures.
Hopefully with the launch of 4G LTE in the UK with other providers than EE later this year this will bring better deals and cheaper tariffs for consumers as the companies company to gain 4G customers.
