Zotac HTC Vive

Those of you that have purchased the new HTC Vive VR headset and are finding being connected to a PC via long cable a little restricting. May find this new Zotac Mobile VR concept an interesting solution.

Check out the video below to see the Zotac backpack VR concept demonstrated allowing you to roam free using your Valve virtual reality headset.

The HTC VR headset is now available to pre-order priced at $799 and Zotac explains more about the inspiration behind their new untethered virtual reality system designed for the Vive.

VR gaming is the next best thing next to sliced bread. Actually… we think it’s way better. Now gamers can enter a truly immersive environment where the line between virtual reality is becoming blurred with what is real! However, VR has always been held back from reaching its full potential due to being physically anchored to a computer.

Here at ZOTAC we took the next logical step. Introducing, mobile VR, powered by our ZOTAC ZBOX! With this new solution, we eliminate one of the largest obstacles to true immersion. No longer will you need to worry about tripping over cables or tangling your legs up as you finish your graceful 360.

This mobile solution not only removes the bulk of connecting to the large traditional computer towers of old, but also allows the user to roam freely in VR with their undivided attention. This innovative solution includes a system powerful enough to drive VR, and a portable battery pack to keep you going.

Cut the umbilical cord and bask in the freedom to enjoy VR the way you’ve always imagined it to be!
