Apple is expected to launch a new smaller iPhone at a press event next month, the handset is expected to come with a 4 inch display and will apparently be called the iPhone SE.
The new smaller iPhone is expected to come with the same power as the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, but in a smaller package, this handset could appeal to people who don’t want a larger display than four inches.
Earlier today we heard that Apple managed to increase its handset sales by around 20 percent in 2015, although things slowed down in the last quarter, a new smaller iPhone could help the company boost sales of their iPhones between now and September, when the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to launch.
The new smaller iPhone 5SE is rumored to come with the same processor as the latest iPhones, the Apple A9 it is also expected to come with 2GB of RAM and a choice of storage including 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, plus the same cameras as Apple’s latest handsets.
As well as the new hardware the device is expected to get the same feature as the latest iPhones, this would include support for Apple Pay and also Apple’s 3D Touch which brings a range of new gestures to the iPhone.
Apple could do well with a smaller iPhone and it could be a lot more popular than the iPhone 5C was, as the design of the device is expected to be similar to that of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
Apple is rumored to have ditched the bright colors of the iPhone 5C with the new iPhone 5SE in favor of the same colors as their latest iPhones. This would provide their customers a smaller premium handset for a lower price than their current 6S models.
We are expecting the new smaller 4 inch iPhone to be made official at Apple’s press event in March, along with the new iPad Air 3 and also new new versions of the Apple Watch.
