We just showed you which devices will get macOS Catalina and now we have details on which Apple devices will get iOS 13.
Apple announced their new iOS at WWDC earlier this week, they also released their first developer beta of the software, the also announced iPadOS which is an iPad specific version of the software.
Now we have details on all of the Apple devices that will get the new iOS software update, you can see the full list below, first up is the iPads.
iPads compatible with iPadOS:
- iPad Air 2
- iPad Air 3
- iPad Mini 4
- iPad Mini 5
- 5th generation iPad
- 6th generation iPad
- iPad Pro (All models)
iPhones & iPods compatible with iOS 13:
- iPhone 6S
- iPhone 6S Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus
- iPhone 8
- iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone SE
- iPhone X
- iPhone XR
- iPhone XS
- iPhone XS Max
- 7th Gen iPod Touch
Any of the devices that are not on the above lists will stay on iOS 12, Apple are expected to release their next major version of iOS some time in September along with this years new iPhones.
So far we have seen that there will be a number of new features in iOS 13, this will include updated Apple Maps, Sign in with Apple, Advanced Photos, camera improvements, Dark Mode and more. There will also be a range of iPad specific features in iPad OS. As soon as we get some more information on when the next major version of iOS is coming, we will let you guys know.
