Following on from yesterdays Nintendo worldwide press conferences announcing prices for the new Wii U games console, Nintendo also officially revealed some of the Wii U specifications.
The Wii U spec sheet now includes a system RAM of 1GB with a main memory of 1GB, with disk able to store unto 25GB of gaming data. The basic Wii U console is equipped with an 8GB solid-state drive as primary storage, while the premium Wii U console is fitted with 32GB.
Nintendo still hasn’t release details of the all important CPU and GPU unfortunately as yet, but the leased Wii U spec sheet stated that it was the GPU is probably based on AMD’s R700 core, with the Wii U CPU, named Espresso, featuring three enhanced Broadway cores.
Wii U games that will be included in the launch line-up include Mass Effect 3, Darksiders II, Black Ops 2, Transformers, Trine 2, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Assassin’s Creed 3. Together with Bayonetta 2, now published by Nintendo as a Wii U exclusive.
