Earlier this week, Best Buy offered an excellent deal on the iPhone 5S, giving users the ability to trade in their old iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 for a minimum $150, which can be applied to the purchase of the forward-thinking iPhone 5S.
The offer is now over, and if you didn’t manage to score an iPhone 5S under the deal, Walmart is also offering the iPhone 5S for a discounted price of $119 tied to a two-year contract with AT&T or Verizon. It’s even offering the iPhone 5C at a promotional price of $29 on-contract.
Do note that these prices are for the 16GB version of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. It’s not just the iPhone 5S/5C, Wal-Mart also slashed the price of the Samsung Galaxy S4 to $49 on-contract, which makes sense as Samsung has already launched the successor of the handset which will retail on April 11th in 150 countries. Additionally, users purchasing a Samsung handset between March 9th and 22nd, will get a $50 Walmart gift card with their purchase.
As far as the iPhones are concerned, there are rumors floating around that Apple might launch the iPhone 6 sooner than expected, may be in July which is way off the traditional iPhone launch cycle. We’ll update you as soon as more information comes up.
