A voiceover actor named Susan Bennett has come forward in a recent interview and stated that she is the female voice we all know in the US as Apple’s Siri. According to Bennett, she recorded the voiceovers way back in 2005.
Bennett says that she spent four hours each day for the entire month of July recording vocals at GM Vocals for ScanSoft. At the time the vocals were recorded, Bennett says the project she was working on was not disclosed. She said she didn’t know she was the voice of Siri until a friend purchased an iPhone and called to ask if that was her voice.
Apple is being typically tightlipped and has yet to confirm that Bennett is in fact the female voice of Siri, and probably never will. An audio-forensics expert with 30 years of experience has come forward and said that he is 100% certain that she is telling the truth.
