If you’re a proud owner of the Android-powered Blackberry Priv tied to Verizon, there’s some good news for you.
It seems Verizon will roll out the Android Marshmallow update for the BlackBerry Priv in the coming days. A user on Crackberry forums reported about updating his handset to Android Marshmallow.
Unfortunately, the roll out doesn’t seem to be widespread as other Priv owners didn’t get the update and upon checking, they are unable to connect to the update servers. A quick look at Verizon’s software update page also doesn’t reveal anything about the availability of the new operating system. It’s quite possible that the Big Red carrier may be testing out the new update, a form of soak test, which is why its not available for Priv owners.
But even if the soak test has began, it won’t be long before the carrier will release the update for the Android-powered Blackberry Priv. Stay tuned, we’ll update you as soon as the company starts rolling out the new operating system for its handset.
